France Holds Second Round Of Parliamentary Election
PARIS, FRANCE - JULY 7: The logos of the New Popular Front sit on display before results at 8 p.m. at the HQ campaign of the Socialist Party on July 7, 2024 in Paris, France. The National Rally was expected to be in a good position in the second round of the French legislative elections, called by the French president last month after his party's poor results in the European elections, but first projections show an unexpected lead from the French left. Alliance of the New Popular Front wing obtained 174 elected officials, the presidential coalition Ensemble obtained 156 deputies and the National Rally (RN) and its allies, notably the LR supported by Éric Ciotti obtained 143 deputies at the Palais-Bourbon.
