London Riots: Ed Miliband in Dalston; Ed Miliband interview SOT - I think the first thing to say is that the courts need to make the right judgements about the people who've done the wrong thing / right for tough sentences to be handed down / it's matter for the courts / when council tenants sign agreements - they sign up to agreements about behaviour and local authorities have powers to deal with those things / local authorities need to weigh up decisions they are making - need to help local communities not harm them - interesting what Bill Bratton has said - that arresting people is not complete solution / PM should agree to commission of inquiry - right that courts have dealt quickly with rioters / right for tough sentences / people want clear signals to be sent - people want their voice to be heard / questions go far wider / key issues about our society can only be done by commission of inquiry / that is best way - not frightened of telling my children off / it's wrong if they are getting impression they can't tell their children difference between right and wrong / some parents need help in exercising their responsibility - need help and incentives to do that Miliband thanks everyone SOT
