Chirripó National Park is a national park named after Cerro Chirripó, which at 3,820 metres is the highest mountain in Costa Rica na done of the highest in Central America. The park boasts great biodiversity, including Talamanca forest and Costa Rican Páramo forest. It operates strict permit system allowing no more than 100 visitors a day. On a clear day one can see both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans from the summit.
