George Weah, the former football star, born in this district of the Liberian capital and the only African Golden Ball to date, is a candidate on October 10, 2023 for a second term at the head of this small English-speaking West African country. He contributed to the construction of recreational parks in several disadvantaged areas of the capital and promised to continue this initiative throughout the country if re-elected.
