Antonia Brico Reviewing Her Music
(Original Caption) Woman to Conduct Symphony Orchestra at Metropolitan. Antonio Brico is soon to make her debut at the celebrated Metropolitan Opera House in New York. Not as a singer, but as a conductor of a symphony orchestra. Her baton will lead the Musician's symphony of 200 pieces on January 10, 1933. And she is not a novice at conducting. She's done it in Berlin, Poland and San Francisco. Here she is seen in her New York home at 150 West 76th Street, as she rehearsed for the event.
