BELFAST, UNITED KINGDOM - 2021/07/12: While a Land Rover Tangi (an armored police vehicle) passes by, spectators gather to watch the Orange March on Shankill Road, a predominantly loyalist neighborhood. Every summer, with the exception of last year due to covid-19, protesters march through the streets of Belfast for the Twelfth of July parades / Orange March to celebrate the Battle of the Boyne. Orange walks have met criticism throughout the Order's existence, from both Catholics and nationalists, who perceive them as sectarian and triumphalist. Despite a history of public disorder during parades, as well as Protestant discontent and frustration due to the Brexit recent deals, the parade was carried out peacefully.
