This photograph taken on April 12, 2024 shows a cutting board silhouette of a British soldier installed as part of the "Standing with Giants" installation at the World War II British Normandy Memorial ahead of the upcoming D-Day commemorations, in the village of Ver-sur-Mer which overlooks the Gold Beach in northwestern France. Standing with Giants, with its 1,475 silhouettes, is a community project that will be part of D-Day landings commemorations at the Memorial and will be available to visit throughout Summer next year.
