A security guard patrols the Baoji Bronz

BAOJI, CHINA: A security guard patrols the Baoji Bronze Musuem filled with ancient bronze sculptures, 24 May 2005 in Baoji city, west of Xian in China's western Shaanxi province. Considered the birthplace of Chinese culture and civilization, Shaanxi was home to 14 dynasties over a 1,100 year period from the Western Zhou to the Tang Dynasty, and remains an important destination for archaeologists due to large quantities of cultural relics and historic remains yet to be excavated, if not already looted.
