Guatemala's Junta Signs Peace Treaty

(Original Caption) 7/4/1954-San Salvador, El Salvador- The scene in the ceremonial hall of El Salvador's Presidential House as the peace treaty was signed ending the two-week-old Guatemalan civil war. It provides for a 5-man military junta. All signers pledged a continuing fight to eliminate Communism from the Central American nation. Seated (L-R): Colonel Elfego H.
