Gibraltar is an overseas territory of the United Kingdom, but claimed by Spain. It is located in southwestern Europe, precisely in the south of the Iberian Peninsula, at the eastern end of the Strait of the same name that connects the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. To the north it borders entirely with La Línea de la Concepción, a Spanish municipality in the province of Cadiz (Andalusia).
