The Interview Was Pol Pot's Second With An Outsider Over 18 Years, And Disproves Last Week'S Reports That Pol Pot Had Left Cambodia For China To Receive Medical Treatment. Speaking Feebly, Pol Pot Said His Health Was Not Good And Complained Of Poor Sight In One Of His Eyes. He Said He Is Living Alone, Apart From His Family, Under The Watch Of Guards And Is Sleeping A Lot - As Much As 20 Hours On Some Days. Asked About His Role In The Killing Of As Many As Two Million Cambodians Under The Khmer Rouge's Rule From 1975-1979, Pol Pot Said He Did Not Wish To Discuss The Matter. He Also Refused To Talk About The Execution Of Rival Factionleader Son Sen In June 1997, Said To Be Have Been Ordered By Him. After Son Sen'S Murder, The Khmer Rouge Expelled Pol Pot From The Leadership And Subsequently Sentenced Him To Life Under House Arrest In A Show Trial.
