The weightlifters have formed a corporation and boast nearly 1,000 members, 20 of whom are girls. Many donate their time to assist newcomers to the field. 66: Experienced acrobats and adagio dancers work out with novices on the L-shaped platform at Muscle Beach where 'summer school' now is in full swing.
