400987 08: A Marine holds a120mm mortar next to a Mobile Fire Support System (MFSS) - known as "Dragon Fire" - during tests by the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory to assess Dragon Fires abilities, February 12, 2002, at Camp Pendleton, CA, north of San Diego. The Dragon Fire rifled mortar can be readily deployed from a MV-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft, various helicopters, a Light Armored Vehicle, or towed by a High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle.
