Florida Snake Hunter Aims To Curb Rampant Python Population
MIAMI - SEPTEMBER 16: Joseph Wasilewski, wildlife biologist, searches for pythons among rocks near the Tamiami Trail that cuts through the Florida Everglades on September 16, 2009 near Miami, Florida. Wasilewski is one of a small number of hunters that have been licensed by the state of Florida to help eradicate the invasive species of snake. Wild life officials believe that there are a minimum of tens of thousands of pythons in the wild across South Florida, many of which were released by owners when they grew to large to be kept as pets. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission will review the program's results when it concludes at the end of October. (Photo by Joe Raedle/Getty Images)
