Japan's toy giant Takara employee Maiko
TOKYO, JAPAN: Japan's toy giant Takara employee Maiko Murayama displays tiny toy robots shaped as little turtle "Walkiebits", able to walk with wagging its rear, singing with electronic sounds and to dance to a rhythm tapped on its shell, at the company's headquarters in Tokyo 29 December 2005. The Walkiebits, with a price of 1,280 yen (11 USD), have already sold over 300,000 units in the past six months. A gold version has been produced as a commemorative model for Takra's investors as the company will merge with another Japanese toymaker, Tomy.
