A group of Higaonon tribesmen joined by supporters pray outside the headquarters of the Philippine food and beverage giant San Miguel Corporation in Manila, 05 December 2007 to protest against the company's subsidiary's plan of building a hog farm in the 144 hectare disputed property in Sumilao town, in southern Bukidnon province. The marginalized Higaonon tribesmen have claimed the property as part of their ancestral land. The protestors have survived nearly two months in their "walk for land, walk for justice" campaign. The group of 55 Higaonon farmers walked the grueling distance of 1,700 kilometers from Bukidnon to Manila in their final bid to deliver their demand before President Gloria Arroyo to grant ownership on the disputed property that was recently acquired by San Miguel.
