American Soldiers Show Off Crocodile

A group of American soldiers show off a crocodile they caught when they went fishing in Guadalcanal during a lull in fighting in World War II. They were using dynamite, and stunned what they thought was a very large fish but was in fact this five foot crocodile. Shown with the crocodile are Corporal Jesse C. Luper, Sergeant Leroy Kelley, Corporal Benjamin Cox and Major Charles W. Davis. (Photo by © Hulton-Deutsch Collection/CORBIS/Corbis via Getty Images)
