Edna Phillips Murder
Edna Phillips a 70-year-old woman who was murdered on 16th July 1992 by two teenage girls, one of them her next-door neighbour, at her home on a council estate in Penywaun in South Wales. On 8th March 1993 Maria Rossi (neighbour) and her friend, Christina Molloy, aka Tina, both 17 were given indefinite sentences, a tariff' (minimum term) of 15 years, picture shows police van outside vandalised home of relatives of accused, with concerns of safety and mob violence, relatives had to be taken to safety and their new address kept secret, July 1992.
