Douglas Moberg of the Minneapolis Park and Rec department, sharpened his chain saw before cutting down another ash tree in the Gross Golf Course on 12/6/13. The work crews are taking out 92 trees from the golf course during this winter. Minneapolis residents will see 3,000 ash trees felled in 2014, the first year of an eight-year program to remove and replace about 40,000 ash along streets and in parks before the emerald ash borer gets them.
