NATIONWIDE Harden

Carpetbagger Michael Hardern dressed in a baron's parliamentary robes outside the House of Lords in London today (Wednesday). Mr Harden is promising Nationwide members a seat in the House of Lords and free access to the Internet if they elect him to the board and the building society converts to a bank. He has made the pledge with two weeks to go before the deadline for Nationwide members to decide whether the society should remain a mutual organisation or convert to a bank.
