NOV 2 1979; Bronze Buffalo Becomes Reality; A workman grabs the new bronze statue of a buffalo, symbol of Uni-¡versity of Colorado sports teams, by the horn as the sculpture is placed on a concrete platform just west of the new CU Events Center in Boulder Thursday. Sculpture is size of Ralphie, CU mascot. Idea for the sculpture was originated by alumni of the CU class of 1942 at their 25-year reunion. Edgar Brit-¡ten, Denver sculptor, was commis-¡sioned for the work, and at the 35- year reunion the financial goal was reached and work began.
