Gilmore Junio
TORONTO, ON - MAY 14: At a heart felt ceremony at King Edward Elementary School in Kitchener this morning, selfless Canadian Olympian Gilmore Junio was awarded a one-of-a-kind commemorative medal to honour his personal sacrifice when he gave up his spot in the Men's 1000m Speed Skating event at the Sochi Olympics to teammate Denny Morrison who went on to capture an Olympic Silver Medal for Canada. The team at Jacknife Design were inspired by Gilmore's selfless act and gave him a commemorative medal that was designed by them and funded with help from everyday Canadians. Gilmore is at the Jacknife offices in these photos showing off his medal in Toronto, May 14, 2014. (Colin McConnell/Toronto Star via Getty Images)
